Todd Fedoruk / Colton Orr fight

Wow, I saw this one live last night - totally by chance. Always good to see another Flyer get punished, but this one was also frightening.
File this under devastating right hands!

The Brian Campbell hit

This famous hit came from the 2006 playoffs. While a clean check - and a reminder to keep your head up - this was pretty scary.

While I hate the Flyers, I was actually concerned for R.J. Umberger.

The not-for-the-faint-of-heart link is in the title.

Congratulations...

...to the Winter 2007 Steamer
scoring champ. While he only beat linemate Jason Ketchum by one point, he did put on a goal scoring clinic. He had a goal in the first game and then went two games without a tally.

He then proceeded to light the lamp at least twice in the next 8 games (to include a hat trick and a 4-goal game. The streak is still alive by the way).

Although his gear is old and crazy looking, he looks like a young Elvis Costello - and plays like a tazmanian devil, this proud chowderhead poured in 21 goals and added 8 helpers in 11 games.

Congrats to # 12 - Shane Mcardle for winning the Milan Hejduk goal scoring title and leading the Steam in points!

A Stan Jonathan fight

In honor of our new scoring champion, a proud chowderhead, here is a video clip of Boston Bruins legendary fighter Stan Jonathan. This clip was suggested by one of the Mass-holes on our team - and I think we can all agree that it is great to see a Canadien get his ass kicked!

My Top 10 favorite goals - # 10

I guess I always hated the Dallas Stars because they knocked the AVS out of the playoffs by playing chippy hockey. The Richard Matvichuk cheap shot on Milan Hejduk separated his shoulder and knocked him out of the playoffs one year and that seemed to be the difference in the series.

Plus, they had Ed Belfour ans Derrian Hatcher - who I always hated. Dallas also had that sickening Cup win over Buffalo where the league - and super turd-burglar Gary Bettman - blatantly disregarded Brett Hull's skate being in the crease for the cup winner. What a joke.

For some other reason I always liked the Devils. Maybe it was partly that they used to be the Colorado Rockies. Mainly it was my appreciation of Scott Steven's toughness and Scott Niedermayer's composure and hockey sense.

So, my # 10 occurred in June of 2000 when Jason Arnott scored to beat Stars and win the cup. I jumped up off of my couch in celebration and was surprised at how ecstatic I was. A great way to end it!

NHL Goal of the Year - Evgeni Malkin?

I imagine most of you saw this goal.........but just in case you did not.....Malkin vs. the Devils. Click on the title to see this absolute beauty!

The Blake Wheeler goal

Well, while I was ripping on North Dakota (actually I'm about to below) - I had to add this beauty. Like every self-respecting hockey fan, I hate the Minnesota Golden Gophers, This Blake Wheeler goal was so preposterous I have to give some credit.

This attempt to stop an icing became the game winner in overtime of the WCHA tournament championship game.
The Youtube link is in the title and it is worth watching the whole thing.

The faces of DU hockey?

Yes, on the road to the Frozen Four in 2004 the DU Alumni website had some extremely attractive people on their front page. Particulary sexy were two drunken fools who never attended DU - but were not afraid to drink beer at the alumi party after a 1-0 win over North Dakota!

The home of the who?
