Dates - Earth Day - April 22nd

Not sure if you celebrated it, or believe in global warming.  Regardless, here are two points of view......

We are nothing if not socailly conscious....

Other sports - who knew (part 1)?

Like you didn't know, but more proof that the Yankees are evil!

Read this story about their ambidextrous pitcher who switches hands while he is pitching.  The key of course, is that he uses a 6-finger glove.  And I think we all know what that means.....

Dates - Tax Day

I hope you remembered April 15th.  Hey, must be the money!

Cold beer here!

Members of the Steam represent at E5's bachelor party at the Ginn Mill.  A disgruntled "Howitzer" did stay and drink.  I'm not sure if he jogged to a bus later.

Other sports - who knew (part 2) or Jeopardy part 2?

Sean Connery has changed his name and is working for the Miami Dolphins?
Here is the story: Jeff Ireland Apologizes for Asking Dez Bryant if His Mom Is a Prostitute.

Hockey Article of the Week - Jersey Fouls

On Yahoo, the always high quality "Puck Daddy Blog" had this great article on "jersey fouls."

Top 10 NHL saves 2009-2010

We honestly never give the goalies enough love, so here you go........

Dates - baseball's opening day

I know you are trying to decide who to root for the year in baseball.  Its obviously the Rockies in the National League.  The American League is tough, so I thought we'd throw some ideas your way.

Now that wasn't so tough, was it?

Steven Stamkos is preposterous

March Madness

I was happy to see the Duke Blue Devils win the NCAA College Basketball Tournament.  I've always liked Coach K, and he runs a clean program.  During the Final 4, the commentators related that eventual tourney MVP, Kyle Singler - # 12 of Duke, grew up as a hockey player and was a really good prospect.  His parents then moved to another city in Oregon that did not have a rink, so he gave up hockey to focus on hoop.  Like to see a hockey player getting some love.
Also got to visit the Duke campus last May while in North Carolina for E5's wedding.  And who could have known that last July, E5 himself would predict the next champion?  Nice!

Steamer action

Chuck Woolery / Boris with the save - while the Shot Pimp, Slim Shady and the Prof play some defense.

Red Wings shoot-out goals

A new category.........wrong-ness

We recently realized that things in poor taste can also be funny.  OK, who are we fooling - the Steamer braintrust knew that a long time ago.  So, here we go.....

Dates - The Frozen Four

Looks like a re-match of the 2006 National Championship as Wisconsin will play Boston College.  Speaking of college....

Bill Guerin last second goal

Dates - the first day of Spring

Mad props

To 1/2 of "The Nutty Brothers."  The always dangerous "Harlan Pepper" recently passed the 200 career goal mark - joining E5 in that lofty club.

Leafs Update...

Well, they looked good for a while, but the Leafs wrapped up the 29th spot in the league last night.  So, the worst draft pick they can hand the Bruins is # 3!  Nice!

Clutterbuck hit on Richards

Dates - hope everyone had a happy Easter

The Steamer game on Easter was an odd one.........

The all-time make-up game....

A very interesting article about a New Jersey High School hockey championship game that was canceled 20 years ago and was finally played last weekend.
And the result........read about it here.
