Candids of the players......# 4

# 25 - Defenseman - Craig "The Howitzer" Harrer

My Top 10 favorite goals - # 8

As most of you are aware, I have always liked goal scorers. I especially love the snipers. Ergo, Milan Hejduk has always been a big favorite of mine. I have also admired his low-key way he usually celebrates a goal.

That is why this goal is such a bonanza and so out of character. An absolute beauty to curl inside of the D-Man and rifle a playoff overtime game-winner past Marty Turco.

I have heard that the translation of his name in Czech is more like hedge-duck. I wonder if the second part of that alleged phonetic translation played into this. Bob Hartley said "He has magical hands" but I guess he can dance a little as well!

Editorial # 9 - Was Archie Griffing right?

As you are likely aware, two-time Heisman Trophy Winner Archie Griffin is known for his quote where he said "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog!'

I am just curious if Archie had ever seen a 282 pound English "Bull" Mastif. Any thoughts on this one Archie?

# 47 - C - Jason "Novocaine" Ketchum

After the hat trick you should get teeth pulled every week!

NHL Goal of the year - Sidney Crosby?

A beauty just from the perspective of the timing and hands needed for this goal.

Other hockey venues....part 4...

The NCAA Western Regionals at the Pepsi Center in Denver - March 2007.

Adam, Eric, Pete, Joe, and Jacque stylin' in the Club Level for Air Force vs. Minnesota.

Oh yeah, did I mention that Jason and Randy were there as well? There they are in section 364! They just couldn't tear themselves away from the Gopher band!

My Top 10 favorite goals - # 9

Sorry, but you knew this one was coming. As former Bruin and current Avalanche analyst Peter McNab says "I don't care what level player they are, they all remember their first goal!"

So yeah, it was my first - also the first goal in Steamer history - 09/29/02 on a 2-on-1, a one-timer on a pass from Gordon.
Go figure!
