The worst part of the year for sports....

....is upon us.  Ergo, I am going to suggest Track and Field - specifically women's college Pole Vault.

March Madness

I was happy to see the Duke Blue Devils win the NCAA College Basketball Tournament.  I've always liked Coach K, and he runs a clean program.  During the Final 4, the commentators related that eventual tourney MVP, Kyle Singler - # 12 of Duke, grew up as a hockey player and was a really good prospect.  His parents then moved to another city in Oregon that did not have a rink, so he gave up hockey to focus on hoop.  Like to see a hockey player getting some love.
Also got to visit the Duke campus last May while in North Carolina for E5's wedding.  And who could have known that last July, E5 himself would predict the next champion?  Nice!

Bobby Bowden to retire?

So, Bobby Bowden is hanging it up - coaching his last game very soon. My thoughts: total indifference, I just wanted to post these pictures.
I think Keith Jackson would say "Whoa Nellie!"
Insert your own "Tomahawk Chop" joke as needed.

Reflections on college...

more college

Speaking of college, your Denver University Pioneers travel to Minneapolis this weekend to play the always annoying Minnesota Golden Gophers. The famous Tyler Hirsch meltdown is here.
