Semi-player profile - CQ

As we recently worked on getting the new Steamer jerseys, Shane asked if he could switch to # 19. That number was formerly worn by our buddy CQ, a very gritty, quality 2-way center, who is still 6th on the all-time goal scoring list (see Stats) - with Shane approaching quickly.

Shane said - "So the guy was good huh?" I explained that you would equate him to Rod Brind'Amour - and if you know who he is and how he plays that would answer the question. Plus I asked - "Have you ever seen CQ's hit on Youtube?"

Editorial # 13 - Why didn't these guys end their careers together?

Well, you know my answer.

Still bummed to see three potentially legitimate NHL captains on the same team and not end their careers together.

Oh what should have been!

Jake Brown X Games 13 Crash and 2nd Place run

Wow! I am sure most of you have seen this, but it is still quite impressive - both the jump and the crash! Enjoy!

Golf Tournament - Shirts

Here is the artwork for this year's shirts. The annual Lord Steamer Golf Tournament will be Saturday 09/08/07.
See ya' there!

Tributes to Americans - Dennis Leary

I'm sensing a pattern here with another chowderhead. Nevertheless, Dennis Leary is a quality guy who hosts an annual charity hockey game where proceeds go to the Boston Fire Department. He is a comedian, a hockey player and has dated Elizabeth Hurley!!!!

He plays a Fireman on the TV show "Rescue Me." Some of his other quality work includes play-by-play at a Red Sox game and a very well done Comedy Central commercial.

Enjoy!

Get your Canadian hockey player name!

As hockey players, and model Americans, we have to pay some tribute to Canada and their passion for the greatest game ever invented. Use this to find out your Canuck Moniker.

By the way, Ray Finkel would be Amaury Dangerfield, and I am Jerome Beecher!

Tributes to Americans - Tom Glavine

Yes, he won his 300th game yesterday and you may not be aware that he was an excellent High School hockey player growing up in Boston. He was actually a 4th round draft choice of the L.A. Kings in 1984. You can read about who was drafted after him and why he chose not to play pro hockey here.

...and find out another name!?!?!?

Well, in our never-ending effort to not take ourselves too seriously, I felt it totally necessary to add this one on here as well. To name, or re-name, your penis - yes, you heard me correctly - click here.
Enjoy and introduce your significant other to your new accomplice real soon!

Did you get the memo?

Mmm, yeah, ok. Well, we're going to have quite a short bench on Sunday, so I'm going to have to ask everyone to come in and play!!!
Aahh, that's it. Great!

Question?

You got a problem with Beef Jerky and Fu Manchu night?!?!

Beef Jerky and Fu Manchu night...

...was a fantastic success:
The Defense chipped in with: 8 assists, 12 beers, and a bag of pork rinds.
The forwards contributed 8 goals, 7 assists, 24 beers and 18 pieces of beef jerky?

The Kyle Okposo goal

Normally I would mock Minnesota, but considering that they have had a tough day - and our thoughts are with them - here is a beauty from Golden Goofer Kyle Okposo.

The winners......

............of the tickets to the Monster Trucks on Sunday, Sunday, Sunday - were Jethro, Bocephus, and Tex.
